Biography

Adnan Midilli, General Secretary of Hydrogen Technologies Association in Turkey, is a Professor of Energy Division in Mechanical Engineering Department at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University in Rize, Turkey, specialising in biomass conversion processes and technologies for production of fuels, thermodynamic analysis of energy systems, energy policies and sustainability. He is the funding dean of Faculty of Engineering and worked to be vice rector for Science, Technology and Innovation. He has authored/co-authored 4 books and 10 book chapters, 55 journal and more than 100 conference papers and numerous technical reports. Prof. Midilli has total citations of more than 3164 (above 2230 citations since 2010), resulting in an h-index of 25 and an i36-Index. He has chaired many conferences, symposia, workshops and technical meetings. He is an active member of various international scientific organisations and societies and serves as the associate editor, editorial board member of various prestigious international journals. He is a recipient of several research, teaching and service awards from TUBITAK and METU in Turkey. He has been an active researcher and supervisor. Currently leads a research team including postdoctoral researchers and research students.
